What happens to your details

A booking request. The form on the home page asks for the date, how many people in each age band, whether they want lunch, a name for the booking, a phone or WhatsApp number and anything we should know. The form sends nothing to us or to this website: it only puts the text together in your browser. It reaches us when you press send in WhatsApp, or when you paste it into a message yourself. We use it to hold your places, to call you if the weather turns and to have the right lunch ready. The legal basis is the steps you ask us to take before the trip, and then the trip itself.

Allergies and dietary needs. If you tell us about an allergy, that is information about health. We use it only to prepare your lunch safely, because you chose to tell us, and we do not pass it on.

Messages and calls. When you call or write on WhatsApp, we see your number, your name as you have it in WhatsApp and what you write. We use it to answer you and arrange your day.

Visiting the website. Like every web server, ours records each request: the IP address, the time, the page and the browser. We use these records only to keep the site running and safe from abuse, which is our legitimate interest.

We never ask for card details online. Nothing is charged through this website: you pay on board.

This website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It has no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. The fonts, the pictures and the map are served from our own server, so opening a page sends no request to any other company.

Our hosting provider runs the server this site lives on, in Germany, in the EU.

Cloudflare delivers the site and protects it from attacks, so it sees the same request data the server does, briefly, as it passes.

WhatsApp, a service of Meta, carries the messages you send us on WhatsApp. Its own terms and privacy policy apply to what you send through it.

We do not sell your details, and we do not give them to anyone else for their own use.

Cloudflare and Meta are companies in the United States and may process data there. They rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and the European Commission's standard contractual clauses for that.

Booking messages and call records stay in our WhatsApp chats and on the boat's phone, which we manage ourselves. Ask us and we delete your chat.

Server records are deleted automatically after about 14 days.

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to limit how we use it or to hand it to you in a usable form, and you can object to how we use it. Where you gave us something because you chose to, such as an allergy, you can take that back at any time. Call or write on WhatsApp to +382 69 696 706.

If you think we have not respected your rights, you can complain to the Montenegrin data protection authority, the Agencija za zaštitu ličnih podataka i slobodan pristup informacijama, azlp.me.

Children are welcome on board, but this website is not meant for them. A parent or the adult in charge books for the group, and the booking only needs how many children there are and their age band, never their names.

The website only works over an encrypted connection, and only the people who handle bookings for Katica read the booking details.
